For 13 years, I belonged to the corporate world and worked in complex and matrix companies with an international environment and different leadership styles. During this journey, I have been studying Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources & Operations Management, Total Quality Management, Multicultural Communication, User Experience, Leadership, and Service Design. While using design thinking to bring transformation initiatives across the Group´s reporting process for a multinational corporation, I learned about the difference it made to business when team leaders focused not simply on strategic goals but also on the human factor enabling those goals to be achieved. Companies place a great deal of attention to their customers - understanding people`s needs to offer products that increase customer satisfaction. We should not forget that those who are designing and selling these products are people too – all with different personalities, needs, and drives. The human-centered leaders know what it takes to tap into human potential - they have a natural understanding of human emotions and what behaviors drive high performance.
